PLATINUM Patch V2.02 Instructions
Unzip the dowloaded file.
You get the Patch.exe file
Execute this file
The place to install the patch is the folder which contains the "Jane's Combat Simulations" folder, not inside the "Jane's Combat Simulations" folder.

I just recently upgraded my system. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit as the OS. I reinstalled all the Mini Pro Platinum files as instructed. Everything seems to work as advertised until I go to load the mission. It starts to load then I get a request to load USAF cd disk 1 or disk 2 depending what I selected for a scenerio. Can someone help me out with this problem?

I have a different problem now that the terrain file issue is resolved. Everything runs great up until I load the mission. WHen the mission comes up to play the display is really dark then gradually gets right but the frame rate seems to be horribly slow. I am thinking it might be a video driver problem. I have an ATI 5770 card with 1 GB on board memory. and ATI driver catalyst 9.12. Anyone have any ideas what the problem may be? The OS I am running is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit if that may have something to do with it, I don't know. Everything seems right till I go to fly the mission and then it slows way down. :)

Oh yes I've an idea what the reason is. It is the OS Windows7. Also with Vista you get the same results. The only way to get it running with high frame rates under Vista and Windows7 is to use the onboard graphics adapter and switch of the PCI graphics. If there is no onboard graphic, you can try to install an Omega driver for your card to run the game. This kind of driver don't use the latest features of newer cards, but often they are able to run older games like USAF.

My suggestion is: Install XP on an extra partition. Automatically a boot manager gets installed, which allows you to select the wished OS before booting. To run the game under XP is by far the best way with newer hardware.
