UI Fix

When installing the UI Fix for the game were does the file go to?? All you see in the USAF folder is a text message about the UI fix. What does UI stand for??
If someone can shed some light on this question please do.

Hello Jimmy,
I don't know exactly what Floyd meant with UI. But GUI means Graphic User Interface. The UI Fix is a libary of bmp files with a color deph of 24 bit. The original USAF has mostly 16 bit graphics for the menu. XP is not able to use this 16 bit bmp files. The UI fix simply changes the related 16 bit bmp files to 24 bit bmp files. With PLATINUM the 24 bit bmp files are installed automatically.

Thanks Cowar. Now maybe I can understand this a little better and maybe the cause of some SP9.4 games not working correctly. I have had to have people install the UI fix more than once and that seemed to fix the problem when the game would not start. But again I never knew what the heck it was doing until now.
