In order, to be able to limit recognized problems more exactly, we have to test USAF online with several persons playing at the same time. With Hamachi specially for this purpose a net with the name “USAF online Test Net” was furnished. The password is “Sirius54”. We want to test both Mini Pro V1.02 and SP9.4. It would be great, if a few people could be found around, to test together online.
We connect, using Hamachi.
We use MiniPro V1.02 and SP9.4.
For communication we use Skype.
Players behind a router have at first to forward the following ports:
Port 1791 for USAF
Port 32976 for Hamachi
Port 12975 for Hamachi
There is a great site how to do port forwarding with a step by step guide for many many routers.

With the help of the site I managed it to fly USAF online. If you have an interest but problems to manage it with your router, post it at this topic. You get any help we can give.
So I hope to see many post of people, ready to test with us. Give it a try! 
The correct Name and password of the test net is colored blue. With the first version of my post I wrote the wrong Name and password. So use only the colored ones.

Well done COWAR.
I see that you finally created this new USAF Net(which could well be temporary and 'test only').
Hope that more members will try to help in this effort.
Also remember guys that no firewall should be activated unless you can set it up right.
Finally,different versions of Hamachi work just fine with each other.

COWAR,
Thanks for getting this set up so that we can continue working out the issues that have come with online play. I will be around to help when I can. Still no solution to my modem issue, it seems that my ISP has pre-set some of the settings that I would like to change and cannot access. I have not had much time the last week or so to do more research and playing with it to get it working yet.
I will be on your new Hamachi network here in the next day or two and we can start doing some more testing. I currently have SP 9.4 and Pure installed so I can help with those; I have not installed MiniPro as of yet.

Hi Scorpion, great to hear that. It would be fine, we could connect with skype to communicate together while flying or setup your "Modem".
I will have a look for the steps to setup your modem. I tell you.

Just a reminder for those who are having trouble opening ports or setting up their router:
In most cases you can only 'see' the menu of your router if you use Internet Explorer.It doesn't usually work via Firefox(I know it doesn't work with mine;I need to use Internet Explorer to go to the menu of my router and change any settings that need to be changed).
Also,besides www.portforward.com (which is a very useful site),you can always contact your ISP for help.
You won't regret it.COWAR and I are having the time of our life whenever we fly online!

Breaking news: Hamachi have released the new version of their program, it's the 1.0.1.2. Or did you already know this?
I have a question for you now: when configuring Hamachi, which values do I have to digit to get the UDP and the TCP ports setted both properly, 12975 for the first and 32976 for the second, perhaps?

To COWAR and No Fear...
after my last attempt to fly together online - it ended with a big mess about "Hamachi" and "Tamagochi" and their own differences  - I still can't understand what went wrong and made me unable to join, also considered that a few hours before I succeeded to fly with No Fear in spite of XP SP2 hard efforts to make us wasting our time.
At least I was able to unveal that my device is not a router, but a modem only, so it came out easy giving my system a static IP and then configuring Hamachi - thanks to No Fear, BTW, also for having informed me that a new version was just released.
But the issue remains as well. Suggestions, anyone? I could fairly exclude a pilgrimage to some religious sanctuary near my home, don't know precisely if I'd be worth...
Flying online? Bah.

People another interesting thing that you should know is that 2 or 3 players can be in a game flying and you can join them later while they are in the game!
So if you connect to Hamachi and you see that some of us are connected but have an 'away' status don't worry;just start your game MiniPro or SP 9.4 and go to multiplayer and you will see the game sessin in red colour.Then you can select join and you'll be in the game with the other players (if of course you are using the same version).

Hi No Fear,
What you are saying is correct, but we must consider, joining an already running Session is only possible with the "ALL Out War Missions"; joining a running Single-, UME-, Quick- Mission etc. is not possible.

Yes,you are right as always COWAR.
That is only for 'All Out War' missions.And it is better this way because in the near future that we will have virtual squadrons,you wouldn't want someone else joining a training mission,would you?

Jackal, if you have time, tell me. We connect together using MSN, talk about your connection problems, setting up your router etc. And this night we come together in our new virtual world. Gulf asked you about the TV card, because with him, the TV card blocked getting his IP from hamachi. So if there is some hardware inside your PC (except the network card) using an IP, this can be the reason for your problems. If you want, we can do your setup together. Let me know!
